  • According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, activity at Mount Bulusan continues. In the past 24 hours, five volcanic earthquakes have been recorded, and the ash plume has reached 250 m above the crater drifting north-northwest.
  • Following the huge phreatic eruption on June 5, 418 people were evacuated to two temporary shelters located in the town of Juban, while the number of people affected stands at 16,400 in 11 barangays located in the province of Sorsogon ( Bicol region, southern Luzon, central Philippines).
  • The alert level is placed at 1 (low level of volcanic unrest), and a ban on entry within a radius of 4 km is still in effect.
