Bezymianny (Central Kamchatka Depression): Explosive activity continues. The Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) in Tokyo has warned of a volcanic ash plume that has risen to an estimated altitude of 17,000ft (5,200m) or flight level 170 and is moving at 10 knots heading northwest.

Manam (Papua New Guinea): (May 24) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned of a volcanic ash plume that has risen to an estimated altitude of 8,000 feet (2,400 m) or flight level 080 and is moving at 05 knots in the W direction.

Dukono (Halmahera): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned of a volcanic ash plume that has risen to an estimated altitude of 8,000ft (2,400m) or flight level 080 and is moving at 10 knots in NW direction.

Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai (Tonga, Tonga Islands): (May 25) A new bathymetric map of the volcano’s caldera was released today.
Professor Shane Cronin from the University of Auckland (New Zealand) in collaboration with Tonga Geological Services has been involved in field research to map the submarine caldera over the past two and a half months.

The INGEMMET Volcano Observatory reported that satellite observations confirmed a fifth lava dome.
It appears as a hill-shaped, circular mass of viscous lava rising from it into the summit crater. The dome is located about 6 km north of the crater with approx. volume of 25,000 m2.
